Cnet.com is reporting that Jawbone’s founder, Hosain Rahman, announced at the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh, Scotland on Tuesday the upcoming release of it’s new fitness bracelet, “Up”.
Jawbone specializes in Bluetooth products, such as wireless speakers, and some very cool looking headsets. The applications that Jawbone created to run the headsets are pretty sweet too. For example, with an app for your smarphone, the Jawbone Era headset can work as a pedometer or accelerometer. That’s just flat out cool.
According to Rahman, Jawbones Up bracelet and smartphone app can detect when the user is exercising, sleeping, eating, etc.
There is no launch date announce at the time of this writing, but stay tuned for more info. I might have to see about acquiring a Jawbone Up for reviewing purposes. LOL
