Diet; The Four Letter Word

I have wanted to write about this for a while, and this seems like a perfect time.

The reason for this is that there is no change to our thinking or way of life. I do not care if it is Atkins, Southbeach, high protein, low carbohydrate, etc. Do these “diets” work? Yes, but as soon as you stop, (and you know you will) your body kicks into overdrive and not only will the pounds creep back on, but will bring friends!

There is only one way to lose weight and make it stick. The decision to make a lifestyle change is the only way to make this happen. We have commit to a conscience decision to eat what is good for us, in the proper quantities, and not deviate. This includes for so-called cheat meals, which is a topic for another post.

Do not think for a moment that this only applies to what we eat, but carries over to our activities as well. Prioritizing exercise high on our list of things to do assures that it gets done. It has to be a part of your daily plan.

Make the choice right now to change your life. You will never regret it.
